On The Lake

Hire a dinghy, canoe or pedal cat at Warners Bay foreshore during the summer, or take a three hour cruise on beautiful Lake Macquarie. Take a walk along the many cycle tracks around the lake or fish from the jetty.

Shopping and Eateries

The area has many shopping centres to suit all tastes within a short drive. Warners Bay Plaza has a Coles Supermarket and 21 specialty shops. Locally at Warners Bay Foreshore there are many specialty shops, banks, post office, newsagent and varied restaurants and eateries. Morriset Mega Markets open every weekend and has varied retailers in a marker style and eateries. The Elephant Shop at Cooranbong specialising in rare gems and treasures. Charlestown Square a 5 minute drive away and is the regions largest shopping centre.

Summer Music in the Podium Warners Bay (10 minute walk / 2 minute drive)

Every Friday Night in the Summer months there is music in the Lake Macquarie Podium with amusement rides for the children.

The Hunter Ice-Skating Stadium is open everyday in the summer holiday period, Friday and Saturday nights 'Disco' skating, enjoyable for all the family. Coffee club is also open for parents who want to relax instead of skate.

Blackbutt Reserve

Carnley Avenue, Kotara (five minute drive)

Blackbutt Reserve is until 6pm everyday, it is a natural environment consisting of peaceful picnic settings, barbeque areas, wide open spaces, bushwalking trails and a diverse range of habitats and ecosystems.

Wildlife exhibits are open from 9am-5pm
